Program Manager – Faculty Appointments, Promotion and Tenure

• Manage daily operations and coordination of faculty review committees, including scheduling, agenda preparation, materials management, communications, and follow-up actions.
• Lead administrative oversight of the Research Faculty Appointment Committee and support consistent review processes.
• Coordinate and administer the Clinician Excellence Committee for faculty with greater than 80% clinical effort.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and report committee metrics, performance indicators, and process benchmarks.
• Support oversight and coordination of Clinical Hiring Panel review activities and related faculty actions.

• Coordinate faculty appointments, promotions, renewals, tenure-track actions, and related academic personnel processes.
• Review faculty packets for completeness, policy compliance, and adherence to institutional guidelines before committee review.
• Maintain committee databases, tracking systems, DocuSign workflows, SharePoint sites, and official records related to faculty actions.
• Serve as a resource to department administrators, chairs, and faculty regarding review timelines, requirements, and procedures.

• Collaborate with Chief Scientific Officer leadership to support research faculty recruitment efforts.
• Improve coordination between recruitment activities and academic appointment processes.
• Coordinate communications, timelines, and documentation among departments, candidates, and institutional stakeholders.
• Support implementation of faculty evaluation and recruitment initiatives aligned with institutional strategic priorities.

• Manage multiple concurrent projects and committee review cycles while meeting deadlines and policy requirements.
• Prepare reports, data summaries, and presentations for leadership and academic committees.
• Identify workflow enhancements, process improvements, and service delivery opportunities within faculty affairs operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Required: 5 years Related experience to include three years program management. or
• Required: 3 years Experience required with Master's degree.
• May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
• Preferred: Preferred candidates will have experience supporting faculty appointments, promotion and tenure processes within an academic health center or higher education environment. They should possess knowledge of faculty review policies, committee governance, and academic personnel procedures, along with experience developing performance metrics, dashboards, and process improvement initiatives. Strong program management, stakeholder collaboration, and faculty affairs administration experience are highly desirable.
