Program Director LCME and CQI

The Director of LCME Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement is a senior-level project manager role that provides operational, administrative, and project management support for activities related to continuous quality improvement (CQI) for the SOM educational mission, with a primary focus on project management and program assessment relating to the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation processes for the OHSU UME program. As CQI processes and systems are developed for ongoing LCME accreditation, the Director will work to establish CQI processes for other aspects of the SOM educational programs and priorities. This role reports directly, and is accountable to, the Senior Associate Dean for Education, and works closely with the LCME Coordinator and SOM leadership, faculty, staff, and students to optimize efforts focusing on ongoing institutional compliance with LCME standards and other CQI activities.

Direct CQI Projects related to LCME accreditation and SOM educational priorities through coordination, collaboration, management, monitoring and communication including:

• Review existing processes, resources, workflow, and administrative operating procedures, etc. and modify/improve the quality and efficiency of these processes.
• Coordinate timelines, workflows, and deliverables
• Create and maintain project plans, tracking tools, dashboards, and status reports.
• Regularly monitor project status and ensure progress toward successful completion of the work.
• Ensure identified project milestones are met, proactively identifying gaps or risks and apprise and support all parties involved regarding risks, gaps, and threats to completion.
• Lead modification of the project plan and coordinate changes with all parties involved as necessary in response to unforeseen changes or unexpected developments.
• Track ongoing CQI initiatives for educational programs and priorities to ensure continuous readiness for future accreditation cycles and achievement of educational priorities.
• Maintain accurate and organized project files and reports in close collaboration with SOM leadership, staff, and members of the Dean’s office administrative team.
• Specific to LCME: Create and maintain a contact list for all parties internal to OHSU who are involved with LCME accreditation and organize committees and task forces as needed for LCME accreditation. Organize and maintain a website dedicated to LCME accreditation updates and information for faculty, students, and staff. Organize the planning and execution of mock site visits, full accreditation site visits, and midpoint reviews. Lead policy reviews to ensure compliance with LCME standards, institutional, and SOM policies. Lead efforts to monitor compliance with LCME standards between accreditation site visits and lead CQI efforts to maintain optimal readiness. Support and partner with the Senior Associate Dean around planning, execution, and follow-up activities post accreditation to ensure CQI processes and mindset.
