Job Summary

The Program Director reports to the Deputy Regional Director and Regional Director and is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, development and management of the day-to-day program operations of a children’s mental health services site, within the Fresno County.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Function as a member of the program’s leadership team, to review, plan, organize, implement, and evaluate all program services and activities, under the direction of the Deputy Regional Director. Maintain good working relationship with consumers, coworkers, governmental representatives, community partners, and any others with whom the agency is transacting business and relate to them in a professional manner.
Provide direction and training to agency staff to ensure staff is familiar with, understand, and comply with existing agency policy, procedures, and program design requirements.
Provide reports of program compliance to the Regional Director regarding compliance with program guidelines and contractual requirements.
Communicate closely, in a systematic fashion, with agencies and significant others involved in the rehabilitation of consumers.
Attend all relevant county behavioral health and community meetings and ensure program participation in rural community based events and activities.
Facilitate meetings with the program supervisory team on a consistent basis.
Provide oversight and monitoring of all program referrals and processes to ensure timely access and appropriateness for services.
Ensure employees follow the reporting requirements for incidents of Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Adult Abuse, Dependent Adult Abuse, and Tarasoff warnings per California reporting laws.
Provide individual and group clinical supervision, as required by licensing regulations, to all licensed and unlicensed treatment staff (preferred).

Licensed as an L.M.F.T. or L.C.S.W. preferred. (or a Masters level clinician who is registered with the licensing body and who is working toward licensure under supervision of a licensed clinician may meet this requirement.) If licensed, eligible to provide BBS Supervision under California State Regulations, preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory and management experience of a behavioral health related program and/or a minimum of four (4) years of work experience in the behavioral health field.
Ability to work with individual consumers and staff members of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Demonstrated knowledge and abilities to supervise program staff, to provide clinical assessments and interventions using individual, family, and group modalities.
Expertise in supervising and training staff in record keeping, documentation procedures, and client/record confidentiality, as required by professional and legal standards in the State of California, and Turning Point of Central California Policy and Procedures.
Ability to operate within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
Computer skills in Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
