Bachelor's degree in a related field plus four years of experience; or a master’s degree in a related field plus two years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Education: Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or related field, ideally including graduate-level coursework in community planning, business administration, etc.
Expertise: More than 10 years of experience in public higher education program management and proven success navigating university systems, including IRB. Extensive experience working with environmental NGO’s in Utah. Utah court-rostered mediation credential preferred.
Supervisory Experience: More than 10 years of supervisory experience, including supervision of undergraduate/graduate students, volunteers, and professional staff
Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in an academic environment, demonstrating high-level problem solving and communication skills. Experience and comfort working with and overseeing a mostly remote team.
Kowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Expert knowledge of principles and practices related to program management in a public university setting
Knowledge of facilitation, mediation, collaboration, and public engagement principles and practices
Knowledge of how to collect, analyze, and summarize data for situation assessments
Knowledge of research, data collection and information gathering methods and procedures
Knowledge of grant development, implementation, budgeting, etc.
Expert knowledge of communication and outreach approaches
Skilled in written and verbal communications
Skilled in the use of personal computers and related software applications, including Qualtrics.
