Professional Engineer, Structural - Manufacturing & Heavy Industrial Facilities

Our employee‑owned, integrated team of engineering and design professionals is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design for heavy industrial projects, including mining and production facilities.

This role is focused on technical leadership and trusted client relationships, guiding complex structural design efforts, collaborating across disciplines, and serving as a key partner to clients throughout project delivery.

Project management experience is valued but not required.

Hybrid Work Environment: Tuesday – Thursday in office | Monday & Friday remote.

Candidates located outside of the Duluth, MN area may be eligible for a modified schedule (minimum one day per week in office) based on experience and business needs.

• Lead structural design for industrial facilities, including mining and production operations
• Serve as a technical leader and client partner, building strong relationships and supporting project success from concept through construction
• Design and oversee structural systems such as:
• Structural steel framing and support systems
• Cast-in-place and precast concrete structures
• Foundations, equipment supports, and elevated platforms
• Material handling and process support structures
• Perform and review structural analysis, calculations, and modeling for new and existing facilities
• Evaluate existing structures and support renovation, expansion, and retrofit projects
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams
• Mentor and support early‑career engineers
