Responsibilities
- Fill in for other employees and supervisors while they are on vacation or personal time
- Operate equipment in accordance with SOPs and make corrections based on system outputs
- Monitor and document membrane flux rates, chemical additions and consumption
- Monitor all aspects of production process for leaks and spills and take corrective action
- Verify CIP systems performance
- Complete work instructions, production log sheets, and sanitation log sheets accurately
Requirements
- High School Education or Equivalent
- Minimum 2 years Operator experience within industrial manufacturing
- Knowledge of all production lines and equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills

Position Summary
- The Vacation Relief Operator is responsible for system efficiencies, operation of manufacturing equipment, and cleaning and maintaining production process equipment. This position assists Production Supervisors in development and training of team members and is essentially a supervisor training posi
Essential Position Functions
- Fills in for other employees and supervisors on vacation or personal time.
- Demonstrates ability to support others while achieving goals.
- Complies with all OSHA and plant safety regulations.
- Communicates safety issues to supervisor.
- Utilizes shift pass down meetings efficiently.
- Follows published SSOPs for equipment and processes.
- Offers ideas for improving quality or process.
- Reviews department and system performances daily.
- Completes work instructions and log sheets accurately.
- Ensures plant is audit ready at all times.
- Operates equipment in accordance with SOPs.
- Monitors membrane flux rates and chemical consumption.
Position Specifications/Requirements
- High School Education or Equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years Operator experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Prior experience in managing personnel is a plus.
- Knowledge of all production lines and equipment.
- Ability to check components of raw materials and finished product.
- Ability to collect samples in accordance with SOPs.
- Experience using FIFO method.
- Self starter, ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
- Ability to ensure documentation is timely and accurate.
Physical Requirements
- Excessive ascending/descending ladders and stairs.
- Walking, standing for sustained periods on concrete.
- Repetitive motions of wrists, hands, fingers.
- Stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching.
- Lifting up to 50lbs occasionally and up to 100lbs rarely.
- Subject to noise up to 92db, extreme heat above 100 degrees.
