You will operate and control process units and equipment both in the field and from the control station to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations You shall monitor plant performance for efficiency, proactively identifying and anticipating issues before they arise In this role you will coordinate work requests, permits, and equipment isolations, ensuring safe return to normal operations Additionally, provide front‑line communication to customers and facility management regarding product and process conditions and supply status Take responsibility for maintaining production records and implementing standard operating procedures for starting and stopping major equipment to maintain reliability and prevent delays Furthermore, exercise sound judgment when making process decisions within established boundaries and contribute to improving and updating standard operating procedures You will demonstrate a strong commitment to personal safety, environmental accountability, and adherence to all safety programs and requirements You shall wear required personal protective equipment, comply with lockout and tagout policy, and issue, monitor, and close out safe work and confined space permits In addition you should be knowledgeable and practiced in all emergency procedures while supporting safety initiatives such as safety inspections, incident reporting, and behavior‑based safety programs Assist in the development and execution of safe standard operating procedures, work a rotating schedule with on‑call responsibilities, and support shift coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays Additionally, maintain facility housekeeping, participate in turnaround planning and execution, and assist with routine maintenance and process safety management activities You are recognized for maintaining training compliance You ensure a reliable and safety‑focused presence during critical operational periods
