Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our team. Under the general direction of the Production Planning Manager, this role is responsible for planning and scheduling work centers to ensure timely and efficient production. The ideal candidate will coordinate production loads based on customer orders and plant reorder reports, considering machine capabilities and capacity, while collaborating closely with shipping and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Analyze sales order releases for capacity planning and material requirements.
- Input shipping information and delivery dates accurately.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping departments to resolve planning issues.
- Communicate production progress to support departments and management.
- Identify and solve production-related problems using Lean and continuous improvement methods.
- Prepare and maintain production reports and daily schedules.
