Production Planning Engineer (SA)

Educational background BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production/Automobile/Industrial Engineering or equivalent Work experience required 0-2 years Knowledge & skill requirements Knowledge in forecasting, production planning and inventory management principles.

Knowledge in Six sigma, lean manufacturing and Kaizen principles.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Should be fluent in English.

Excellent report generation skills.

Proficiency in MS office packages.

Good team working & collaboration skills.

Exposure to 2D/3D drawings.

Knowledge in SAP preferred.

Strong analytical skills.

Should be able to analyse data, understand production metrics and forecast future requirements.

Physical requirements None Roles, responsibilities, and authorities: Creates monthly production plans based on business targets.

Monitors stock of sub materials and creates purchase requests in SAP.

Ensure availability of Knock-down (KD) parts and availability of materials required for production.

Follow up and coordinate with supply chain division to ensure optimum material stock.

Reporting production status and any production issues to management.

Assist in preparing semi-annual or annual production plans.

Work closely with production team to ensure compliance of production plans for new models.

Revise production schedule when required.

Prepare daily and weekly production reports.
