Role Overview
Alloyed utilises a small team of Production Planners to plan and execute operations in its manufacturing facilities in Abingdon.
The Production Planners work with the manufacturing teams, Head of Production, and Operations function leadership to optimise the short and medium-term production plans.
Responsibilities
- Develop production plans for low-volume manufacturing of customer components and manage the execution of those plans
- Develop mid-term capacity plans for Alloyed teams based on projected deliveries of components to customers
- Work with Planning team and Head of Production to mitigate risks and balance load in short-term production schedules
- Communicate and manage day-to-day plans, adapting to rapid changes due to external factors and updating key stakeholders
- Develop ways-of-working to improve operational performance and adherence to plans
Essential skills
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, and aspiration to develop further
- Strong mathematical skillset and high level of comfort with rapid calculations
- Excellent problem-solving ability and capability to convert complex data into actions with practical solutions
- Adaptable, organised, and able to prioritise multiple workstreams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to get hands on with manufacturing processes
Desired skills
- Knowledge or understanding of manufacturing & production management processes
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
