Position Summary
The night shift Production Manager will lead our night shift operations across print and finishing in a high-security, high-precision manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership role with direct impact on throughput, quality, and execution—owning performance when it matters most.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead night shift operations across multiple print and bindery/finishing processes.
- Deliver against production targets while maintaining strict quality and security standards. Provide detailed reporting via shift reports and MES system.
- Drive floor discipline—clear expectations, real-time problem solving, and decisive escalation.
- Improve key metrics including yield, spoilage, throughput, and downtime.
- Build strong, accountable teams—coach frontline staff and leads; address performance issues or opportunists head-on.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, security, and union requirements.
- Partner cross-functionally (Quality, Security, Maintenance, Product Managers) to resolve issues and keep production moving.
- Own shift handovers—clear, factual communication with no surprises.
