Role Description
The Production Manager will oversee and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of client-facing work products and internal operational projects.
This part-time, remote role involves managing production schedules, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with client expectations and internal quality standards.
The Production Manager will collaborate with tax, advisory, and risk teams to streamline workflows, track dependencies, and identify bottlenecks or resource constraints.
Responsibilities include maintaining production dashboards, standardizing processes, ensuring documentation is complete and audit-ready, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The role also includes communicating status updates to stakeholders, coordinating with external vendors or contractors when needed, and helping implement tools and practices that improve efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications
- Experience in production, operations, or project management, preferably in professional services, consulting, or financial/tax environments.
- Proficiency with scheduling, workflow, and collaboration tools (e.g., project management software, spreadsheets, dashboards).
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and clarify requirements.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality, including comfort working with structured data, documentation, and process checklists.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, exercise sound judgment, and escalate issues proactively.
- Familiarity with tax, accounting, financial reporting, or risk management concepts is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives, process mapping, or standard operating procedure (SOP) development is a plus.
