Role Overview
The Production Manager oversees production planning, operational performance, resource coordination, and process improvement.
The role balances production targets with quality, efficiency, cost, and delivery considerations while working with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate production planning, scheduling, workflow, and resource requirements.
- Monitor output, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, warehouse, quality, maintenance, and operations teams.
- Ensure production follows established processes, standards, and operational requirements.
- Identify delays, bottlenecks, quality issues, and resource constraints.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor materials, inventory usage, equipment requirements, and production capacity.
- Prepare reports, performance updates, forecasts, and management recommendations.
- Improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize operational costs.
- Promote safety, accountability, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
