Role overview
The Production Manager oversees production operations for hard cover binding, hard box making, and high-tech packing lines.
The role combines output planning, process improvement, quality control, equipment management, team leadership, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily production output.
- Automate manual steps to reduce waste and increase OEE.
- Maintain quality standards and minimize defects and rework.
- Oversee machine setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Lead, train, and schedule production staff and technicians.
- Promote safety, 5S, and accountability.
- Coordinate with sales and planning on deadlines and capacity.
- Control production costs.
- Resolve breakdowns, bottlenecks, and urgent client jobs.
Requirements
- Production management across hard cover binding, hard box making, and high-tech packing lines.
- Ability to lead, train, and schedule production staff and technicians.
