About the Role
We are seeking a Production Engineer specializing in porcelain enameling to oversee and optimize the enameling process on steel. You will lead production line operations, quality control, troubleshooting, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize the production line, including milling, slip application, and high temperature furnace firing (~850°C)
- Establish and monitor Critical Process Parameters (CPPs) and perform quality tests (adhesion, hardness, chemical resistance, color)
- Diagnose and resolve complex production defects like peeling, blistering, crazing, and color variation
- Partner with QA for defect analysis and Corrective Actions (CAPA), and work with Maintenance on equipment optimization and PM planning
- Train, mentor, and supervise operators and technicians
- Control the inventory of key raw materials
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials/Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3–5 years of hands on experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment
- Proven background in industrial coating processes (powder coating, wet painting, galvanizing) OR ceramic/glass manufacturing
- Furnace operation and thermal profiling experience is mandatory
- In depth understanding of surface preparation (cleaning, pickling, priming) and thermal processing
- Knowledge of steel properties, ceramic frit compositions, and thermal expansion compatibility
- Proficiency in QA tools, lab test interpretation, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD

- Position Purpose: To oversee and optimize the entire porcelain enameling process on steel (from raw materials to final firing).

Job Specifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials/Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Specialized certification/training in Ceramic Engineering, Coating Technology, or Corrosion Science (highly preferred)
- 3–5 years of hands on experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment
- Proven background in industrial coating processes (powder coating, wet painting, galvanizing) OR ceramic/glass manufacturing
- Furnace operation and thermal profiling experience is mandatory
- Direct experience in Porcelain (Vitreous) Enameling on metal substrates (target profile)
- In depth understanding of surface preparation (cleaning, pickling, priming) and thermal processing
- Knowledge of steel properties, ceramic frit compositions, and thermal expansion compatibility
- Proficiency in QA tools, lab test interpretation, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Familiarity with milling equipment, spray systems, continuous/batch furnaces, and basic PLC systems
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
