Role Overview
Lead daily machine shop operations for street lighting pole fabrication in a hands-on supervisory production role.
Own production output, dimensional accuracy, team discipline, and shop-floor execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise plasma cutting, laser cutting, taper cutting, plate bending, and seam welding.
- Meet daily and weekly output targets aligned with production schedules and delivery commitments.
- Interpret fabrication drawings, cut sheets, and dimensional specifications across pole profiles.
- Monitor MS plate and coil utilization, minimize scrap, and maintain consumption logs.
- Coordinate with production planning, quality control, procurement, and assembly for workflow continuity.
- Supervise machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance.
- Verify dimensional accuracy during different stages of production.
- Prepare production reports, machine utilization logs, and shift handover notes.
- Optimize job sequencing and machine loading to reduce idle time and maximize throughput.
- Enforce HSE standards, safe work practices, and PPE compliance.
- Drive process improvements to reduce cycle time and improve first-pass dimensional acceptance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, production, industrial engineering, or a related engineering field.
