Position and summary
Production Cost Analyst – Manufacturing / Production role supporting multiple manufacturing and production units.
The role monitors costs, analyzes variances, validates production data, identifies inefficiencies, and drives cost optimization.
The position is located in Business Bay, Dubai.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor end-to-end production costing across multiple manufacturing units.
- Track BOM requirements against actual raw material consumption and identify variances.
- Analyze raw material, activity, operational, and production costs.
- Compare expected production with actual output and identify shortfalls.
- Review daily production data and highlight inefficiencies and wastage.
- Collect, verify, and validate production data with production teams.
- Identify cost leakages and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive cost reduction through material control and operational efficiency.
- Maintain costing data and structures in SAP S/4HANA.
- Prepare MIS, variance analysis, and cost-performance reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and standard costing.
- Coordinate data alignment with finance, production, and supply-chain teams.
Mandatory requirements
- 4–8+ years of experience in costing or production cost analysis.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience is compulsory, particularly in costing, production, and inventory modules.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production costing.
- Experience comparing BOM data with actual raw material consumption.
- Strong expertise in analysis and cost control.
- Advanced Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Experience handling large production-data volumes with high accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Costing, or a related field.
Preferred background and competencies
- Food manufacturing or food processing experience is highly preferred.
- Experience managing costing across multiple production units or plants.
- Familiarity with standard costing, activity-based costing, and production KPIs is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a verification-driven approach.
- Strong coordination, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment.
- CMA or ACCA certification, partly or fully qualified, is an advantage.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 6,000–AED 10,000 per month.
