Role Overview
The employer is seeking a Product Security Engineer for a full-time remote role.
The role focuses on designing and implementing security controls for a cloud-native platform.
The engineer will integrate security into the product lifecycle through cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security requirements for product features and infrastructure components.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for product features.
- Implement secure coding practices and security testing methodologies.
- Design and deploy secure architectures for cloud platforms with engineering teams.
- Monitor and respond to vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation across teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Proficiency in threat modeling methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and AWS, Azure, or GCP best practices.
- Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and penetration testing tools.
- Experience with container security, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of IAM and zero-trust principles.
- Ability to write clear security documentation and engineering guidelines.
Compensation
- The stated payout is $250,000 to $400,000 per year.
Work Arrangement
- The position is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
