Role Overview
Work as a Product Security Engineer on a full-time basis for a client, designing and implementing security controls for a cloud-native platform.
Focus on threat modeling, secure development practices, and integrating security into the product lifecycle.
Location and Work Arrangement
- The role is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
Compensation
- The stated payout is $250K-$400K per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security requirements for product features and infrastructure components.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing product features.
- Implement and enforce secure coding practices and security testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and deploy secure cloud-platform architectures.
- Monitor and respond to security vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation efforts across teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Proficiency in threat-modeling methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and penetration-testing tools.
- Experience with container security, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of IAM and zero-trust principles.
- Ability to write clear security documentation and guidelines for engineering teams.
