About the Role

  • Seeking an experienced Product Operations Manager to own and elevate product operations function.
  • Design and implement robust incident management organization, Configuration Management and Release Management processes.
  • High impact ownership role requiring technical depth and strategic thinking.

What you'll do

  • Own and lead production operations, leading a team of product experts and managing critical incidents.
  • Design and build incident management organization, processes, escalation paths, and operational playbook.
  • Lead and develop a product operations team, establishing best practices.
  • Own Change Management and Release Management processes.
  • Drive continuous improvements through post mortems, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.
  • Act as stakeholder facing escalation point during critical issues.
  • Identify gaps in operational maturity and independently develop plans.
  • Partner with Engineering, QA, and Product team to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in product operations, technical operations, or similar roles with at least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of ownership and building processes.
  • Ability to discern truly urgent problems from routine issues.
  • Fast learner capable of understanding complex technical systems quickly.
  • Strong communicator who knows when and how to push back constructively.
  • Technical proficiency and experience in QA testing methodologies.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, or CloudWatch).
  • Experience with Crashlytics or similar crash reporting tools.
  • Proficiency with AWS infrastructure.
  • Technical knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs.
  • Technical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android platforms.

Pay

  • $110,000 125,000 CAD base salary.
  • Does not include other variable compensation components (annual bonus, benefits, etc.).

Location

  • Remote first, based in Toronto.
  • Team distributed across North America; headquarters in California and Toronto hub with office in downtown core.
