Mentum seeks a senior Product Messaging & UX Content Strategist for a short-term, part-time freelance role. The strategist will define product positioning, tone of voice, UX copy, and in-app guidance for an early-stage AI-assisted digital product.

Responsibilities
- Develop product positioning and core messaging
- Define tone of voice and written copy guidelines
- Write opening / first time user experience copy
- Create 'How it works' explanation
- Write onboarding and in app guidance copy
- Write UX copy for key product flows
- Develop personalized brief/output tone and structure
- Write meeting or recommendation information copy
- Write notifications, emails, empty states, and tooltips
- Define terminology and messaging hierarchy across the product
Requirements
- Experience in product messaging and positioning
- Experience in UX writing / content design
- Experience with AI assisted or personalized digital products
- Experience with SaaS, marketplace, workflow, or trust based products
- Ability to turn complex product logic into simple, human language
- Experience working from Figma screens, product notes, and founder input

Role Overview
- We are looking for a senior Product Messaging & UX Content Strategist to help shape the written language of an early stage AI assisted digital product.
- This is a short term, part time role for someone who can work across both product messaging and in app UX writing.
- We need help defining how the product explains itself, guides users through structured flows, and communicates outputs, next steps, and recommendations in a clear and trustworthy way.
- This is not a blog writing role. We are looking for someone who can think deeply about positioning, user experience, tone of voice, terminology, and product copy.
- The product involves structured user journeys, AI assisted outputs, and personalized recommendations, so experience with AI based or AI assisted products is strongly preferred.

- You have experience in: Product messaging and positioning; UX writing / content design; AI assisted or personalized digital products; SaaS, marketplace, workflow, or trust based products; Turning complex product logic into simple, human language; Working from Figma screens, product notes, and founde
- The ideal person can make a product feel clear, intelligent, calm, trustworthy, and easy to act on without sounding generic, overly casual, or too corporate.
