Product Manager

Position Summary

Product Planning and Monitoring

• Understand client requirements, processes, objectives and key success factors.
• Define the product vision and create a product roadmap.
• Set overall objectives, micro-goals and steps required to achieve them.
• Translate and review business requirements through change requests and business requirements documents.
• Create and assess user stories and review test cases covering business scenarios.
• Maintain and analyze the requirements traceability matrix.
• Monitor product progress, participate in scrum meetings and product sprints, and determine strategic direction.
• Coordinate with other product owners on project information when applicable.

Backlog Management

• Own the product backlog before each meeting.
• Manage backlog complexity and prioritize requirements against strategic goals and changing priorities.
• Resolve priority conflicts with other Product Owners and Product Managers.
• Develop and monitor production timelines across multiple departments.
• Drive iteration goals and content through prioritized stories.

Testing

• Establish story acceptance criteria and accept stories into the baseline.
• Develop user stories and define iterations for comprehensive business scenarios.
• Define test cases and system performance acceptance criteria.
• Validate testing feedback and adherence to functional and non-functional requirements before UAT.
• Verify that software releases meet customer expectations.

Market Research and Business Development

• Identify opportunities to improve the product and guide product initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Cultivate client relationships and support new and existing business opportunities.
• Provide input on opportunities to upsell products and services to existing clients.
• Analyze customer needs through market analysis and competitive activities.
• Identify decision makers and promote company products and services.

Engagement Management

• Increase client satisfaction and revenue growth through understanding client business, challenges and requirements.
• Plan and deliver service requests and change requests on time, tracking and escalating progress as needed.
• Manage client communications, conflict resolution and compliance with client deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional product and business planning and set client expectations.
• Participate in client reviews of performance against targets.

Policies, Quality and Reporting

• Recommend policy improvements and direct implementation of procedures and controls for business analysis activities.
• Follow the corporate information security framework, policies, standards and guidelines.
• Ensure quality management procedures and controls support high-quality delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, process improvement, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
• Supervise the preparation of accurate periodic MIS reports.

Academic and Experience Requirements

• A minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering is required.
• A minimum of six to eight years of experience in a similar environment is required.
