Role overview
The CCDC is seeking a Product Manager to shape scientific software, data and services for researchers worldwide.
The role supports work in structural chemistry, materials science and drug discovery.
The Product Manager will own the success of one or more product areas within the CCDC portfolio.
Product management responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy and roadmaps.
- Work with scientists, software developers, Product Owners and stakeholders to deliver user-centred solutions.
- Understand customer needs and balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
- Make informed decisions and influence without direct authority.
- Define long-term roadmaps, assess business value and manage competing priorities.
- Drive product outcomes through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience and qualifications
- Several years of experience managing software products or platforms in a commercial, scientific or technical environment.
- Experience working with agile delivery teams and translating product strategy into actionable plans and priorities.
- Experience launching or delivering new products or services is essential.
