Role Overview

  • Reporting to the VP Programs, the Product Line Manager is responsible for strategic direction, commercial success, and lifecycle management of the assigned product line.
  • Acts as business owner for the portfolio, developing and executing product strategies to drive profitable growth and strengthen market position.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle plans for assigned product line.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and emerging technologies.
  • Lead business cases for new product development, sustaining engineering investments, and product rationalization.
  • Ensure product portfolio remains competitive, differentiated, and aligned with long term business objectives.

Commercial Leadership

  • Develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Monitor product revenue, bookings, gross margin, and profitability.
  • Conduct win/loss analysis and market assessments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop product forecasts and support long range business planning.

Market & Customer Leadership

  • Serve as Voice of the Market by engaging with customers, sales teams, channel partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent product line during strategic customer meetings, industry conferences, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering and Sales to understand evolving customer applications.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers to support strategic growth initiatives.

Cross Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Engineering to prioritize product improvements and new product development.
  • Partner with Technical Services to analyze field performance and warranty trends.
  • Support new product introduction activities ensuring commercial readiness and successful launches.
  • Lead cross functional product reviews to align business priorities and investment decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related technical discipline; MBA or equivalent business experience considered an asset.
  • 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in product management, applications engineering, technical marketing, business development, or related customer facing technical roles supporting complex engineered products.
  • Demonstrated experience developing product strategies, business cases, market assessments, or product roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills with ability to influence cross functional teams.
  • Must be able to meet CGP/ITAR requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting RF, microwave, high voltage, medical imaging, aerospace, defense, industrial equipment, or similarly complex technologies.
  • Experience managing global product portfolios and supporting international markets.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, market analysis, and competitive strategy.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, Sales, Technical Services, and Operations throughout product lifecycle.
