About the Role
Näak is seeking a Product Development Specialist to lead new product development from ideation to launch. You will manage formulations, industrial trials, and cross-functional projects in sports nutrition.

Responsibilities
- Lead new product development from ideation to commercial launch, collaborating with internal teams and external partners
- Design and optimize formulations through lab, pilot, and industrial trials, then support industrialization with manufacturers
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, define priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure timelines are met
- Optimize product portfolio by improving recipes, processes, and costs while maintaining quality and performance standards
- Provide technical expertise to Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Quality teams, and monitor ingredients, technologies, and market trends
- Develop products compliant with regulatory requirements and Näak standards, contributing to sustainability and innovation initiatives
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in food science, food engineering, nutrition, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product development in the food industry
- Demonstrated experience in product development from ideation to commercial launch
- Experience in industrialization and plant trials
- Good knowledge of Canadian, US, and European food regulations
- Knowledge of functional foods or sports nutrition strongly desired
- Proficiency in French and English

Mission
- As Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and industrialization of new products contributing to Näak's growth.
- You will manage development projects from conception to commercial launch, working closely with Marketing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and international manufacturing partners.
- You will also bring technical expertise to continuously improve existing products, optimize costs, and identify next innovations.
- This role reports to the Vice President of Products, Innovation and Impact.
