Role Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies focused on electromechanical enclosures.
• Create and manage CAD models with accuracy and adherence to design standards.
• Apply GD&T principles and SPI standards for plastic design.
• Collaborate with plastic tool makers and injection molders on DFM requirements.
• Generate innovative concepts and creative solutions for complex design challenges.
• Conduct structural analysis of molded parts and ensure performance compliance.
• Perform DFMEA and apply good design practices throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support rapid prototyping and validate designs through iterative testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering is required.
• High proficiency in CAD tools, specifically Creo, is required.
• Strong knowledge of part design, GD&T, and SPI standards for plastics is required.
• Proven experience in electromechanical enclosure design is required.
• In-depth understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFMEA methodologies is required.
• Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping techniques is required.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and structural analysis capabilities are required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to generate creative design concepts are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with injection molding processes and plastic tool makers is preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical design and manufacturing best practices is preferred.
