About the Role
dunnhumby is looking for a Mid UI Designer to join their Design System team. You will design and maintain platform libraries using Figma, support the design system's relevance, and collaborate with product teams.

Responsibilities
- Design and maintain platform libraries using variants, tokens, and other organizing principles
- Support processes to ensure continued relevance and best user experience of the design system
- Work with product teams to bring the design system to life inside UI projects
- Identify opportunities for simplifying designs across products
- Deliver valuable, high quality, and consistent work without sacrificing speed
- Contribute to end user documentation describing standards and best practices
- Create and maintain engineering handover documentation
- Be the voice of the Digital Design System for designers in other teams
- Promote inclusive design practices and deliver accessible (AA) designs and components
- Validate designs via A/B testing, unmoderated usability testing, etc.
- Help facilitate workshops and run conceptualisation and participatory design sessions
- Provide feedback to other designers to strengthen the team
Requirements
- 3 5 years UI design experience
- Strong proficiency with the latest versions of Figma
- Good understanding of delivering latest WCAG compliant designs
- Ability to constructively critique design
- Awareness of existing design systems such as Material Design and Fluent Design

- Strong proficiency with the latest versions of Figma.
- Good understanding of delivering latest WCAG compliant designs.
- Ability to constructively critique design.
- Awareness of existing design systems such as Material Design and Fluent Design.
Advantageous Skills
- Graduation or Masters from Design School.
- Some engineering background.
- Previous experience in the retail sector.
- Experience in high profile design projects in customer & business facing environment.
