Core Responsibilities & Achievements
Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders (POs) for raw materials, equipment, and services across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with approved pricing and sourcing strategies.
Maintain appropriate min/max inventory levels to support smooth production while avoiding excess or slow‑moving stock.
Track open POs weekly, confirm shipment schedules, resolve delays, and coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to secure on‑time deliveries.
Support freight and transportation optimization by comparing carriers, routes, and overall logistics costs.
Benchmark, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and high-quality performance.
Implement sourcing strategies to reduce single‑source dependency and strengthen supply chain resilience.
Collaborate closely with production planners, plant managers, and maintenance teams to ensure materials are available in line with production schedules.
Track procurement and planning KPIs using advanced Excel reporting and dashboards.
Analyze inventory data and provide actionable insights, including slow‑moving and at‑risk inventory reporting.
Identify cost‑saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, and process or logistics improvements.
Work with Sales and project teams to assess material and transportation costs for new products and maintain updated costing documents.
Partner with Quality and suppliers to address non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing updates, and ERP master data to ensure reliable reporting.
Collaborate with Accounting to support accurate invoicing, cost validation, and payment processing.
Stay informed on market trends, logistics best practices, and new technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel
Ability to reach full effectiveness within six months
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Primary work location: Montreal, QC
Provide supply chain and procurement support for Cryopak sites in Canada, the U.S., and France
Bilingual French and English (English proficiency is required , as approximately 75% of the workday involves speaking and negotiating with Western Canada-based suppliers and participating in daily meetings with peers)
