Role Overview
The Procurement Supervisor manages purchasing activities, supplier relationships, purchase orders, payment coordination, audits, procurement compliance, and cost-saving initiatives.
The role supports supply continuity by monitoring supplier performance, prices, risks, quality, delivery, and service.
Main Responsibilities
- Purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality standards.
- Locate and evaluate vendors, negotiate commercial terms, and develop supplier payment terms.
- Coordinate supplier payments, report aged payments, and follow up on outstanding cases.
- Report procurement KPIs, analyze target deviations, and follow up audit action plans.
- Maintain price matrices, supplier records, evaluations, and purchase order tracking systems.
- Identify risks involving price increases, material shortages, quality, delivery, or service.
- Implement procurement strategies and policies and ensure purchase order compliance.
- Maintain supplier coverage for items affecting customer supply and resolve vendor claims and grievances.
- Report cost savings, pursue additional savings, and participate in equipment and material specification development.
- Analyze historical data and forecasts to support cost reduction programs and identify training opportunities.
