About the Role
Clariant is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source materials, equipment, and services cost-effectively. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, 2-5 years of procurement experience, and preferably experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial sectors.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end to end procurement process, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, purchase order creation, and supplier coordination
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with qualified suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliable delivery
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with internal departments including Operations, Production, Warehouse, Finance, and HSE to understand purchasing requirements and ensure timely fulfillment
- Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to identify new sourcing opportunities and reduce procurement risks
- Monitor supplier performance and address delivery, quality, or service issues when required
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and purchasing documentation
- Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and cost saving initiatives for management review
- Support inventory optimization by coordinating with relevant departments to maintain adequate stock levels
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and supplier performance
- Assist in vendor qualification and supplier audits when required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years and maximum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Materials Management
- Experience in chemical manufacturing, oilfield chemicals, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, or industrial manufacturing is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and supplier management
- Experience using ERP systems; Oracle experience is preferred
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent are considered an advantage
