Role Overview
This position is integral to the success of our programs, where Babcock leads the management and maintenance of Defence's Anzac Fleet.
In this role you will:
Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for goods and services across a diverse portfolio of spend.
Partner with business stakeholders to define requirements and develop scopes of work, specifications and sourcing strategies.
Develop and manage RFx documentation, supplier communications and competitive sourcing events.
Evaluate supplier submissions, conduct commercial assessments and provide recommendations to stakeholders and approval authorities.
Negotiate commercial terms and conditions and support the development and execution of contracts.
Conduct market analysis and supplier assessments to identify capable suppliers and optimise procurement outcomes.
Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement governance requirements while effectively managing commercial and supply chain risk.
Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support successful contract outcomes.

About You
As a Procurement Specialist , you are a commercially minded sourcing professional who thrives on delivering procurement outcomes in a complex operational environment. You can work autonomously, build strong stakeholder relationships and confidently lead sourcing activities from requirements development through to contract award.
You bring strong experience in developing scopes of work, running competitive sourcing processes and establishing robust contractual arrangements that balance value, risk and operational requirements. You are comfortable challenging assumptions, influencing stakeholders and identifying opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
