Job Overview
- Responsible for managing procurement of technical equipment, materials, and services essential to oilfield operations.
- The Senior Buyer will source high quality/complexity products, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Oversees the entire procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services at competitive prices.
Job Accountabilities
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to optimize procurement costs and ensure timely supply.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service standards.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure high quality and consistent supply.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to understand technical specifications and project requirements.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost effective procurement while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier audits, and maintain strong supplier relationships to mitigate risks and ensure supply continuity.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, cost analysis, and recommendations to management.
- Support, adhere and promote the QHSE policy of the company, along with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Operating Environment
- Work is primarily office based with frequent interaction with internal teams including engineering, operations, project management, and finance.
- Regular communication and negotiation with external suppliers and contractors.
- Fast paced and deadline driven environment, often managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
