Role Overview
The Procurement Specialist will manage and oversee materials management for Category III to VI E&P projects in Qatar.
The role supports multiple ongoing and shutdown projects through procurement strategy, technical expertise, logistics management, and project coordination.
Procurement and Materials Management
- Lead and execute materials management activities in line with project objectives and timelines.
- Provide procurement and materials support across ongoing project and shutdown activities.
- Support pre-Gate 2 procurement strategies with budgetary quotations and delivery schedules for long-lead items.
- Review and approve contractor procurement and materials management procedures.
- Supervise SAP-BOM updates for Gate V project close-out requirements.
Materials, Vendors, and Logistics
- Monitor project and shutdown materials to ensure timely delivery according to project schedules.
- Manage surplus materials inventory and blinding materials across projects.
- Coordinate long-lead item procurement through centralized purchasing functions.
- Review and approve material reconciliation reports with QA/QC, warehouse teams, and contractors.
- Maintain the Preferred Vendor List and manage vendor prequalification processes.
