About the Role

Sourcing and Supplier Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and specialized subcontractors for wood, veneers, laminates, hardware, glass, metalwork, paint, polish, and upholstery.
• Maintain a supplier database and negotiate pricing, payment schedules, terms, and lead times.

Purchasing and Operations

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders from order placement through delivery.
• Review Bills of Quantities, material take-offs, cutting lists, and project specifications with technical and quantity surveying teams.
• Coordinate factory and job-site deliveries with project schedules and production deadlines.

Cost Optimization

• Monitor market prices, material availability, and alternative products to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support material costing and trade discounts and conduct value engineering with project managers and designers.

Quality and Contracts

• Coordinate inspections of delivered materials for specification compliance and defect-free delivery.
• Manage claims, returns, and replacements for damaged or non-conforming goods.
• Draft, review, and finalize supply agreements and subcontractor contracts.

Cost Control and Documentation

• Monitor procurement expenditures against approved project budgets and flag potential overruns.
• Reconcile invoices, delivery notes, and payment milestones with Finance and Accounts.
• Maintain records of purchase orders, contracts, supplier evaluations, and warranty documents.

Requirements

• Applicants should have 3–5+ years of procurement experience in interior fit-out, custom carpentry, or joinery.
• Applicants need knowledge of joinery materials, specialty hardware, finishes, glass, metalwork, and site installation requirements.
• Applicants must understand market prices, supplier networks, import or trade regulations, negotiation, and contract terms.
• Applicants must read architectural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; ERP or procurement software experience is advantageous.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, stress management, and interpersonal communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in supply chain management, business administration, civil engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field is preferred.
• UAE or GCC fit-out, joinery, or construction market experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting commercial, hospitality, luxury residential, or retail fit-out projects is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay starts from AED 4,000 per month.

Workplace

• The work location is in person in Jebel Ali.
