Role Overview
Grain Cafe Group is seeking a Procurement Officer specializing in food and beverage purchasing for its growing cafe chain in Dubai.
The role manages purchasing operations for fresh food, beverages, packaging materials, and branch supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure high-quality fresh food, beverages, and packaging materials at competitive prices.
- Negotiate supplier prices, payment terms, and annual contracts.
- Build relationships with local and international suppliers and evaluate supplier performance.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities while protecting product quality.
- Ensure procured items comply with HACCP standards and Dubai Municipality regulations.
- Coordinate with branch managers and culinary teams on menu requirements and ingredient availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain uninterrupted supply across all branches.
- Visit suppliers and branches as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least five years of proven F&B procurement experience is required; cafe chain, restaurant group, or hospitality experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the UAE supplier market, particularly Dubai, for food, beverages, and packaging is required.
- A valid UAE driving license is mandatory for visiting suppliers and branches.
- Excellent negotiation, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Proficiency in procurement software or ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English is required.
- Candidates must currently be based in Dubai and able to join immediately or at short notice.
