- Handle procurement of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing materials for ongoing projects
- Source quotations from approved suppliers and subcontractors
- Compare prices, technical specifications, and delivery schedules
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in coordination with management approval
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Maintain proper procurement records, supplier database, and documentation
- Coordinate with project engineers, storekeepers, and accounts department regarding material requirements and deliveries
- Monitor material delivery status to ensure timely supply to project sites
- Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and approved brands
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost saving opportunities
- Assist in preparing procurement reports and cost analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience in MEP contracting companies
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials, brands, and UAE market suppliers
- Experience in handling procurement for commercial, residential, and industrial projects
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement software
