Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to oversee purchasing operations and ensure the timely acquisition of quality goods and services.
The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to optimize procurement processes while maintaining cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily procurement activities and ensure compliance with company policies
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to forecast needs
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate procurement records
- Evaluate supplier performance and build long-term strategic relationships
- Ensure cost control and identify opportunities for savings
- Handle vendor issues, discrepancies, and delivery delays effectively
- Stay updated on market trends and pricing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of local market suppliers in Qatar is an advantage
