Position Overview
The Procurement Engineer sources and procures materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for construction projects.
The role supports cost efficiency, technical compliance, timely delivery, project execution, and supplier relationships.
Procurement Planning and Sourcing
- Develop procurement plans aligned with project timelines and construction sequences.
- Prepare procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery of long-lead items.
- Source suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers for construction materials and equipment.
- Maintain approved vendor databases and support vendor prequalification.
Technical and Commercial Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and quantity surveyors to identify requirements.
- Evaluate quotations against project specifications and drawings.
- Review IFC drawings, BOQs, and specifications before procurement.
- Coordinate structural, architectural, MEP, and finishing material procurement.
