Role Overview

The Procurement & Logistics Supervisor/Manager will manage end-to-end procurement and logistics activities across the MEA region, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing, efficient import and export operations, supplier performance, compliance, accurate documentation, and continuity of supply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, from approved requisitions and sourcing through quotation comparison, supplier selection, purchase order issuance, delivery follow-up, and closure, while ensuring approvals and purchasing activities comply with company policies and operational requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and logistics providers on pricing, payment terms, lead times, warranties, rates, and service levels to achieve the best overall value and support cost efficiency.
  • Manage import and export shipments from order readiness to final delivery, coordinating with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution and continuity of supply.
  • Track shipments and open purchase orders, provide timely updates to stakeholders, and proactively resolve or escalate delays, supply risks, or critical issues, including alternative sourcing or recovery plans where required.
  • Ensure procurement, logistics, import/export, customs, and related documentation comply with applicable local laws, regulations, licensing and permit requirements, customs rules, HS codes, duties, taxes, and internal company controls in each country of operation; maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready records.
  • Maintain the supplier directory and manage supplier onboarding, due diligence, and documentation, while monitoring supplier performance across price, quality, delivery, responsiveness, compliance, and service and following up on corrective actions where needed.
  • Partner with Operations, Laboratories, Finance, Administration, HSE, and country teams to understand purchasing requirements, consolidate demand where practical, and support budget and cost control.
  • Monitor procurement and logistics KPIs, including cost savings, price variances, shipment lead times, delivery performance, supplier performance, and service quality, and identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, framework agreements, improved sourcing, logistics optimization, and process improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, logistics, international shipping, freight forwarding, import/export operations, or customs clearance.
  • Hands-on experience managing multi-country shipments, preferably across MEA markets.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, customs clearance, shipping documentation, HS codes, Incoterms, duties, taxes, and trade compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, third-party logistics providers, and regional authorities.
  • Proficiency in logistics systems, shipment tracking tools, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, purchase order management, commercial negotiation, and vendor performance management.
  • Good understanding of procurement controls, approval workflows, budget discipline, and audit documentation requirements.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in English and French for daily business communication, documentation, and coordination with customers, authorities, suppliers, and regional partners.

  • Good commercial acumen with the ability to compare quotations, negotiate with suppliers, identify cost-saving opportunities, and balance cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
  • Analytical and customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
