Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline; CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CPSM certification is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in vendor identification, strategic category management, market intelligence gathering, price benchmarking, and running formal Requests for Information/Proposal/Quote (RFI/RFP/RFQ).
- Strong track record in executing high-value supplier negotiations to optimize pricing, credit terms, lead times, service levels, and volume discounts without compromising quality.
- Advanced operational proficiency in modern ERP and procurement software solutions (e.g., SAP MM/S4HANA, Oracle Procurement, NetSuite, Coupa, or Jaggaer).
- Capabilities in managing key supplier performance metrics (KPIs/SLAs), leading quarterly vendor audits, resolving contract disputes, and implementing supplier development plans.
- Solid understanding of commercial law, purchasing terms and conditions, risk mitigation clauses, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and statutory trade/environmental compliance standards.
- Intermediate-to-advanced data analytics capabilities using Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to analyze spend variance, cost breakdown structures (TCO), and working capital impact.
- Practical experience collaborating with logistics and warehouse operations to optimize safety stock levels, minimize lead time delays, and support Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to build strong working relationships across cross-functional internal teams and maintain senior vendor engagement.
- Strategic diagnostic mindset, strict adherence to business ethics and anti-bribery policies, strong organizational agility under tight operational deadlines, and a continuous focus on process automation.
