Role Overview
Manage purchasing activities for fit-out, interior decoration, outdoor decoration, manufacturing, and trading projects.
Source materials, negotiate commercial terms, coordinate suppliers, and ensure materials are available on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily procurement and purchasing activities for company projects and operations.
- Source reliable local and international suppliers and compare quotations.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Purchase curtains, fabrics, wallpapers, flooring, furniture, lighting, hardware, timber, plywood, MDF, metal works, outdoor materials, accessories, and related items.
- Coordinate material requirements with Sales, Estimation, Design, Production, Store, and Project Teams.
- Follow up on deliveries and coordinate incoming materials with the Store and Logistics Team.
- Check quotations, invoices, delivery notes, and purchase documents for accuracy.
- Maintain supplier records, price lists, and procurement documentation.
- Develop supplier and subcontractor relationships and identify cost-saving alternatives.
- Monitor market prices and ensure materials meet approved quality, specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements.
- Follow up on shortages, damaged materials, delayed deliveries, and supplier issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma.
- Minimum 0–2 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
- Strong supplier sourcing and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of UAE suppliers and local market prices is an advantage.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, email, and ERP or accounting systems.
- Ability to compare quotations and prepare cost comparison sheets.
