Role Overview
The role manages procurement and sourcing within logistics and international trade operations.
The position focuses on supplier performance, purchasing, export documentation, shipment coordination, and supply chain risk.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Identify and build relationships with profitable suppliers.
- Approve and finalize purchases, contracts, and deliveries.
- Coordinate outbound logistics and manage shipment schedules.
- Prepare export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and delivery advice.
- Track procurement metrics to improve effectiveness and reduce costs.
- Conduct contract reviews and ensure compliance.
- Lead sourcing initiatives to improve cost efficiency and supplier performance.
- Use data analytics for decision-making and reporting to management.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
- Monitor and manage supply chain risks.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist, Supply Chain Specialist, or in a similar role.
- At least 3 years of experience in a logistics company and in import/export operations.
