Job Summary
Seeking a Procurement Engineer to drive purchasing strategies for medium-voltage cabinet components and electrical power equipment manufacturing.
The role manages local Saudi supplier relationships and supports supply chain optimization.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute procurement strategies for medium-voltage cabinet components.
- Develop and manage local Saudi suppliers through qualification audits, price negotiations, and contract-term management.
- Conduct cost analysis, control purchasing costs, and optimize supply chain operations.
- Track project requirements and coordinate with technical, quality, and production teams to support on-time delivery.
- Manage purchasing quality to ensure products comply with Saudi and Middle Eastern standards.
- Procure general office supplies and miscellaneous production materials.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in engineering or a STEM field.
- Fluent English and Arabic for business communication.
- At least one year of local Saudi procurement experience in electrical power equipment or mechanical components.
- Experience with switchgears, medium-voltage cabinets, or Ring Main Units is preferred; other power distribution or mechanical product experience is acceptable.
- Familiarity with local Saudi suppliers for electrical equipment components, including sheet metal, copper busbars, and secondary components.
- Proven supplier development, negotiation, key terms, and contract management skills in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong awareness of cost control and delivery efficiency.
