Role Description
The Procurement Director is a part-time, remote role leading and overseeing procurement activities for the organization’s programs and operations.
The role develops procurement strategies and procedures focused on transparency, cost-effectiveness, regulatory alignment, and organizational impact.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage supplier selection, evaluation, contract negotiation, execution, and renewal.
- Forecast procurement needs with internal stakeholders and optimize supply chain processes.
- Mitigate vendor performance and delivery risks, monitor procurement performance, and report to leadership.
- Improve procurement practices in support of the organization’s social and environmental objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement and supply chain management skills are required.
- Contract negotiation, contract management, project management, analytical, financial, communication, and relationship-building skills are required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Nonprofit, public sector, or policy-focused experience in Saudi Arabia or the region is highly beneficial.
- CIPS, CPSM, or an equivalent procurement or supply chain certification is advantageous.
