Role Description
The role supports supply chain operations, vendor interactions, and operational purchasing workflows.
The position works with Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and external suppliers to procure goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively.
The role reports to the Procurement Manager or Purchasing Lead.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and issue approved purchase orders.
- Track delivery schedules and maintain vendor databases.
- Obtain comparative supplier quotations and perform initial quality and invoice matching checks.
- Monitor safety stock thresholds, update purchasing logs, and resolve delivery discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier relationships while following corporate governance requirements.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience with purchase orders, requisitions, delivery-order matching, and vendor invoice audits is required.
- Supplier sourcing, RFQs, comparative pricing, and vendor review capabilities are required.
- Knowledge of inventory control, reorder points, safety stock, and lead times is required.
- Hands-on ERP and procurement systems exposure is required.
- Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and SUMIFS, are required.
- Negotiation, cost optimization, procurement compliance, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required.
