Role Overview
The Procurement Assistant will coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services for construction projects.
The role covers supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, and procurement documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement for construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Request quotations and prepare detailed price comparisons.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Review purchase requests and prepare and issue purchase orders.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, accounts, logistics, and customs teams.
- Follow up on deliveries, shipments, lead times, and long-lead materials.
- Review procurement documents and maintain supplier and purchase records.
- Identify alternative suppliers and materials when needed for deadlines and budgets.
- Verify compliance with approved specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Prepare procurement status reports and maintain records in accordance with company procedures.
