The Role

  • The role of the Procurement And Supply Chain Specialist is to organize the procurement of all categories of automotive parts according to the needs of the company’s customers.
  • The ideal candidate should have a deep experience in supply chain management, excellent logistics negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.
  • The candidate must have knowledge of leading supplier companies in the UAE, GCC countries and world leaders in the automotive market.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identification, evaluation and development of strong relationships with domestic/international suppliers (GCC, Europe, Asia)
  • Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and ensure timely delivery.
  • Conducting market analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities.
  • Implement cost saving initiatives without compromising quality, including vendor audits and assessments.
  • Organization of full contract management from initial negotiation to contract execution and evaluation, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and regulations.
  • Regularly assess the performance of suppliers, eliminate any discrepancies and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Prepares and analyses procurement reports, providing information on trends, challenges and opportunities to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement within automotive industry in the UAE.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiation strategies leading to cost reductions and improved supplier relationships.
  • Familiarity of INCO Terms and key import/export regulations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly those related to manufacturing and inventory management, is essential.
  • Fluency in English and Russian is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages, is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends, turning data into actionable procurement strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on problem solving and innovation to enhance procurement processes and outcomes.
