Were looking for a Process Water System Maintenance Operator to help operate, monitor, and maintain our high-performance industrial water recycling systems.
What Youll Do As a Process Water System Maintenance Operator, youll be at the center of system performance and reliability. Your day may include: System Operation & Monitoring Operate and monitor process water recycling systems including filtration equipment, pumps, blowers, tanks, and supporting mechanical components. Track key operating indicatorspressure, flow, temperatureand respond quickly to abnormal readings. Use VFDs, PLCs, and HMI screens to make system adjustments and diagnose equipment issues. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, blowers, filtration units, valves, and rotating equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues such as unexpected flow loss, pressure spikes, or pump failures using a systematic, data-driven approach. Conduct CIP (Clean-In-Place) cleaning procedures using approved chemicals and safe handling practices. Complete equipment repairs, component replacements, and mechanical modifications as needed. Electrical & Mechanical Work Safely work around and support equipment powered by 3-phase 480V motors. Utilize VFDs to evaluate motor performance and identify electrical or mechanical root causes. Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams to resolve system issues. Technical Documentation Maintain accurate logs, PM records, and operational reports using tools such as Excel, Word, and internal CMMS platforms in accordance with FDA standards. Document equipment adjustments, test results, and repair activities clearly and professionally. Safety & Compliance Follow strict chemical handling and CIP safety protocols. Apply proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance and repair activities to ensure a safe work environment. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs., vision 20/20, standing 40%, sitting 10%, walking 50%, climbing stairs, typing, and writing. Teamwork & Communication Collaborate closely with operators, maintenance technicians, engineers, and supervisors to troubleshoot system problems. Stay organized when multiple system areas require attention, prioritizing tasks in a calm and effective manner. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize water reuse and system performance. What Were Looking For 3-5 years background working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment in an industrial manufacturing setting. Experience with process water, industrial wastewater, or water treatment/recycling systems. SC State LLR, Class D, C, B, or A Physical/Chemical Process Water operator certification a PLUS! Familiarity with VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and other automated control interfaces. Ability to read technical diagrams and use common hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting instincts, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Clear communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. Ability to work weekends and/or holidays as necessary as we are a 24/7 operation.
