  • AcuTech Consulting Group is growing rapidly and seeking highly qualified and motivated Process Safety Consultants in Qatar to help fuel our growth.
  • Candidates would join a highly respected team of industry leading PSM experts on challenging projects for many of the world’s and region's largest corporations.
  • Assignments will primarily be based out of Qatar, KSA and other GCC Countries.

What You’ll Do

  • As part of AcuTech’s Qatar team, you will work directly with clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management.
  • Successful candidates will proactively apply engineering and problem solving skills to meet challenging safety and business objectives while seeking out leadership and growth opportunities.
  • Candidates must have high technical acumen, be self motivated, independent, organized, able to work effectively under direction of senior engineers, and handle multiple work assignments and projects.

What’s Required

  • Senior Consultants: 10 15+ years’ experience required; ability to develop and lead cross functional teams, manage client relationships, develop business and utilize strong project and people management skills.
  • Consultants: 5 10+ years’ experience; self motivated, independent, organized, able work effectively under direction of senior engineers, handle multiple work assignments and projects and seek professional growth and development.
  • All Roles: BE/BTech/BS/ME/MTech/MS in related engineering field (chemical, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, safety)
  • Relevant experience in process safety management, process or engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment.
  • Ability to develop consulting business, including developing proposals and making presentations
  • Self motivated, independent, strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, client service and commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and facilitation skills and a consultative approach in supporting customer projects.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programs
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, writing, and implementing PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, standard operating procedures
  • Demonstrated experience developing and evaluating/auditing PSM management systems and advising management at all levels of the organization to effect positive change to operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering technical training, workshops, and train the trainer programs.

What’s Preferred

  • Experience and expertise in PSM Technical Services such as: Process hazard analyses (PHA), and risk assessments, or related studies, such as Design Review, HAZID, What If, HAZOP, FMEA, ENVID, SIMOPS, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Bowtie Analysis, ALARP Demonstration
  • Safety Instrumented Systems services such as: Safety integrity level (SIL) assessment based on recognized knowledge of IEC61511 and related standards
  • Experience with Quantitative Risk Assessment Studies such as: Consequence Modelling, QRA, and Occupied Building Risk Assessment, Toxic Gas Risk Assessment, Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment, EERA, ESSA, 3 D F&G Mapping, Safety Critical Equipment Identification and Performance Standards Development
  • Proficiency in Qatar Energy MAHM Framework, Saudi ARAMCO Standards is an advantage
  • Experience in the Middle East is an advantage
  • Ideal candidates will be “Seller Doers” with existing client connections and an ability to generate new business.
