Process Maintenance Technician

The Jerritt Canyon deposit was discovered in 1972, and the first gold production from the property occurred in 1981.

The Jerritt Canyon property contains 30,821 hectares of mining claims located in the mining-friendly state of Nevada.

First Majestic acquired the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine from Sprott Mining Inc. on April 30, 2021.

In May 2023, operations were suspended to prioritize exploration and technical studies.

Jerritt Canyon is now entering a new phase of evaluation and planning, requiring substantial technical support to advance the work necessary for a potential future restart of operations.

The Process Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and rotating equipment within the process plant at Jerritt Canyon.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient plant operations.

Working closely with Maintenance and Process Operations teams, this position supports both planned and unplanned maintenance activities and contributes to continuous improvement in plant performance.

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on process plant mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, crushers, mills, gearboxes, and piping systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair rotating equipment, identifying root causes of failures and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform equipment installation, alignment, and precision maintenance activities, including shaft alignment and bearing replacement.
• Support major shutdowns and rebuilds, including disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of plant equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, misalignment, vibration, or potential equipment failures.
• Execute maintenance work orders and accurately document work completed within maintenance systems (e.g., SAP).
